BREAKING NEWS: Gouffran set to move to PSG!

By: Chris | September 24th, 2007

I have heard from my sources that Yoan Gouffran will be out of Caen during the January transfer window. This is huge news. PSG, who is also not having a walk in the park, will be inheriting a great striker. It seemed for a while that Arsenal would be a lock to get him, but they really seemed to lose interest and that is when PSG creeped in. They were in talks for a while and now I guess it is virtually done. The only thing left to do is to complete it in the winter.

All I have to say is that Caen better be getting ALOT of money.

This is not at all what we needed.

L’équipe announced that a 4M€ solution had been found.

And then Caen announced via their website that there was no agreement with Paris and that Gouffran will remain at Caen until May.

    Strange, but I believe Caen.

I got this from a source inside the Caen family. Let’s just put it that way. Everything they have told me in the past is dead accurate.

Of course, I would love it to be wrong, but it most likely is true.

I’m surprised it’s taken PSG this long to get Gouffran. Having him in summer would have been much better. Anyway, as sad as I am to see another team lose its main player, at least you’re getting a pretty good deal, since 4 million euros isn’t anything to sneeze at.

yeah, 4 mil is nice, but I can’t really see what we can get with it.

Not many players get excited to play for a team at the bottom of the French table.

WTF?! Metz beats Bordeux and we defeat Toulouse?! Why couldn’t we do this in an L1 game? Flash in the pan or the begining of a come back?

Come one! 4m is little money, especially when some kid ( Pjanic ) worth 10m, at least 10m. Too too too little money. At least Caen must get 8-12m euros.
