Caen wins le Trophée des Normands in a shootout

The game ended 1-1 but Caen scores all 5 in the shootout to HAC’s 3 en route to triumph in a rather meaningless match. This is only the second battle between the two Normandy juggernauts for a preseason trophy and both have been won by Caen.
Gouffran scored the only goal for Caen in the 65′ minute.
This is definitely a good boost for the squad. Get a win against your rival that you probably wont play for the rest of the season. Valiant effort by HAC though. Good luck to them in their Ligue 2 campaign.
L’Orient is up next a week from today. The season is getting so close I can taste it. It tastes good.
