France RWC 2007/Caen-St. Etienne

By: Chris | September 7th, 2007

As a blogger of a French soccer club, I want to wish XV de France good luck in the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

France plays Argentina at 3 p.m. EST.

And now, onto Caen. They suit up against St. Etienne next weekend (because of the international break), which will be far from easy. St. Etienne has gotten eight points out of seven matches and currently sits twelfth in the table.

One thing Caen can really be positive about is St. Etienne’s lack of consistent scoring. They have only scored two goals in the past five games. If St. Etienne comes out flat early, Caen has to have their explosive attack that they are more than capable of. If Caen comes out flat as well, we will be lucky to get a draw.

Hopefully Caen will have Gouffran starting for this match. We need all the firepower we can get.
