SM Caen 1-Servette 2

Striker Grégory Leca scored early in the match for Les Malherbistes; but despite what Servette’s website is reporting as some good chances (Midfielder Stéphane Samson hit the post) Caen couldn’t hold onto the lead and evetually, the game.

Let’s just be happy that this is not yet the season. Servette?!?! Come on Caen. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago, but a poor display against the 2nd division Swiss team is a pretty hard pill to swallow.

Caen has already drawn with SC Bastia 2-2 last week with goals from Samson and Raineau.

It may only be preseason, but this should set off alarms. Even a mixed squad having that much trouble against these two clubs is a bit unnerving. It will be interesting to see what adjustments Dumont will make for Saturday’s fixture against Ligue 2 opponent and fellow Normandy club, Le Havre.

It was a friendly so I don’t think the loss is such a big deal.
