By: Chris | August 6th, 2007A couple days have passed since Caen won the first match of the season and it feels good. From what the simulcast showed me, the team played very well and it will definitely be a treat to play Nancy this coming weekend. A possible 6 points from the first 2 games? If I presented that thought last week, I may have been laughed at. We will see who is laughing this weekend.
The goal was spectacular. Gouffran put a beauty into the box and Compan’s goal was unsaveable.
If we can score goals like that every game, I don’t know of any team that would want to play us.
Gouffran to Compan could end up being a very, very vital connection throughout this season.

Well done Caen!!
Seemed as if the Normans rode their luck at times, but overall a deserved win.
Next week trip to Nancy wont be easy, but they were lucky in beating Rennes 2-0. Caen are capable of getting something I think……..
