Some sporadic info building up to opening day

By: Chris | July 30th, 2007

Sporting Life has done a preview for Ligue 1 and even though Caen is only briefly mentioned, they do make an interesting relegation point. You can view the article here

Dragons that Caen have to slay (At least one is literal):

They say that Caen, along with Metz and Strasbourg will have an interesting time fighting with Nice, Valenciennes and Lorient for relegation. In my honest opinion, I think Caen will be fine and will end up ahead of most, if not all, of these clubs. I think that Metz and Lorient could be in real trouble. Regarding Nice, Valenciennes and Strasbourg? Well, I am a Caen blogger. We will just have to wait and see.

The SM Caen – OGC Nice game will be televised on Foot+ CanalSAT. It is getting close.

I wish I could give more info, but I dont have much right now. I will definitely be posting the links and analysis of more previews as the week goes on, plus any other info that I usually do.

Im hoping Nice goes down so someone can buy Ederson. I think that Strasbourg and Valenciennes are a lock, but i put Le Mans, Cannes and Nancy is a fight for that last spot. I dont see Nice, Lorient or Metz having to much trouble staying up, but of the three its always easy to say the three promoted clubs are the three canidate for relegation.

    20. Strasbourg
    19. Valenciennes
    18. Nancy
    17. Cannes

    Your lucky Chris, just barely
