Who will be Caen’s next mascot?

By: Chris | August 25th, 2007

Stade Malherbe de Caen is compiling a vote for their new mascot. The voting goes until the end of September and you have a choice between three mascots.

The “Destrier,” a French War Horse
A Viking. (Caen’s old logo was a Viking warship.)
Francois de Malherbe, a poet who was born in Caen which the stadium and club are named after.

I still am not sure who I am voting for, but you can vote by clicking “Votez!” on the top of the screen and filling out your information and clicking the bubble next to your choice. You can vote by going here.

I can’t believe that poet is an option. The viking seems the best fit.

Caen will always be “Le Drakkar”. No matter what you change it to.

After all, the “normands” you are almost got lucky in Spain in the early 90s as the Drakkars.
