You cannot win if you cannot score…..0-3 in favor of St. Etienne.

Caen is really playing absolutely horrible against (in my opinion) rather even competition. I dont know if we did not make enough moves in the transfer window, if the team has trouble adjusting to top-level football, or what. 0-3 in favor of St. Etienne.

Caen does what they seem to do best. Miss opportunities that seem golden and allow the opposing team to take advantage early and often. It really seems that when they go down early, this team cannot recover. We were down 2-0 still relatively early in the game. When this happens, you can pretty much write off Caen. It is very sad, but true. Gouffran, Nivet, Compan and Toudic all had scoring opportunities, some of them multiple, but they could not close the deal.

Goals to come later.

Next weekend, Caen plays Metz in an ABSOLUTE must-win match. If Caen loses this game, or draws for that matter, we could be in for a long, tough season.
